Privacy Policy

Freano does not collect personal data. There is no account, and the app does not send your practice to any server.

What we store

Your lessons completed, best scores, practice minutes and settings are saved on your phone only. We cannot see them, and they never leave the device unless you back up your phone yourself.

Permissions the app asks for

Microphone — only if you turn on note detection. The audio is analysed on the phone in real time; nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded. USB / Bluetooth (MIDI) — only to receive the keys you press on a connected keyboard.

Ads and analytics

The Android app shows a banner ad at the bottom of the lesson, song, practice and settings tabs, sometimes a full-screen ad after you close a finished lesson or song, and an app-open ad when you come back to the app (never over the keyboard, and no full-screen ads while you play). It is a Google AdMob ad; if AdMob has none, Liftoff Monetize or Digital Turbine (DT Exchange) may fill the same slot. These ad partners may process the advertising ID, approximate location from the IP address and device diagnostics to show and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first and can change it in Settings. The iPhone app has no ads. Freano has no analytics.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Freano itself collects nothing from anyone, so there is no personal data of a child for us to hold. Ads in the Android app are described in the section above.

Google Play and the App Store

The stores you install from count downloads and may receive crash reports under their own policies. That data goes to them, not to us, and it does not identify you to us.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes everything it saved on your phone. There is nothing on our side to delete.
